My interest in artistic endeavors traces back to childhood. Taping skits and songs and making items for craft sales tapped my creative side. My interest in "business" was strong then too, playing "banker" with old forms and play checks provided by my banker dad.
My formal career took me down the business path in accounting and project management, yet my artistic path continued through the years with experimentation in painting, pottery and stained glass.
In 2000, I discovered the magic of fused glass and pursued formal training. Art and business were merged when Galapagos Glassworks was born in 2004.
My artistic inspiration comes primarily from nature: landscapes, animals, seashores and sunsets. Galapagos Glassworks symbolizes the unique, enduring yet evolving aspects of my work. My vision is to make beautiful handcrafted art pieces and jewelry accessible and affordable to my customers, who love displaying, collecting or wearing original artwork!
